What it does
Everything below works today at golf.kampen.cc — right in your phone's browser. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like a normal app, even with poor signal on the course.
Measure distances
Point at anything on the map and see how far it is from where you stand — or between any two points. Metres or yards.

Plan your game
Draw your own line from tee to green, mark dangers and landing spots, leave yourself notes. Your plan is right there with you when you play.

Each course has pars and stroke indexes you can view and help improve. Enter your handicap and net scores are worked out for you.

One card for the whole group: strokes, putts, penalties and notes. Totals update as you play.

Private by default
You only need an account to save your own stuff. Your email is never shown to other players, and your scorecards stay private.

The whole world's courses
major2026-08-28- The course library grew from around 1,100 to 25,373 courses worldwide.

Courses now come hole by hole
major2026-08-26- Thousands of courses now include where each tee and green is. The app zooms straight to each hole and points you at the green.
- When you plan a hole, the tee-to-green line is drawn for you — just adjust it to your game.
- Something mapped in the wrong place? Anyone can suggest a fix.
- Smaller wording and highlight fixes.
Scorecards are now private
minor2026-08-20- Your scorecards are locked with your password on your phone before they're stored — nobody can read them without it, not even the person running the service.
- New accounts get a one-time recovery code, in case you ever forget your password.
- Fixes for signing up and for changing your password.
Par sheet previews
minor2026-08-13- Tap a par sheet to see its pars and stroke indexes before you play.
- Par sheets are tagged Men's or Women's, and you can hide one category in Settings.
- A plan can use a specific par sheet.
Scoring with your handicap
major2026-08-12- Enter your handicap and the app works out net scores for you — including the strokes you get on each hole.
- A big, simple number pad for entering scores, with the hole's par highlighted.
- The scorecard got tidier — the full 18 holes fit on screen when you turn your phone sideways.

Login & settings tidy-up

Scorecard improvements

How to use the app, one topic at a time.
Getting started
Open golf.kampen.cc in your phone's browser. That's it — it works straight away. To make it feel like a normal app:
Put it on your home screen
iPhone (Safari): tap the Share button ⬆ → Add to Home Screen.
Android (Chrome): tap the menu ⋮ → Install app or Add to Home screen.
Open it from your home screen. It runs full-screen and keeps working even with poor signal on the course.
The ☰ menu
The ☰ button in the top-left corner switches between the app's three modes:
- Rangefinder — measure distances, anywhere.
- Plan / Strategy — your courses and plans.
- ⛳ Play / Scorecard — start or continue a round.
Below those are 👤 Account and ⚙ Settings.
Rangefinder
The screen is a satellite map. You are the blue dot; the number at the top shows the distance you're measuring.
Measure from where you stand
Drag the map so your target sits under the measuring point — the number shows the distance from you to it.
Tap + to add a point along the way (say, a layup spot) and see the distance to it too. − removes one.
Drag any dot to fine-tune. Reset clears everything; ⟲ undoes the last change.
Measure between two spots
Turn GPS off with the ◎ button (bottom-right). Then tap point A, then point B — the distance between them is shown. Handy for "how wide is that gap?". Turn GPS back on to return to normal.
Good to know
- One finger drags the map; two fingers zoom and rotate it.
- The 🎯-style button (bottom-right) shows distance rings of 5, 10, 15 and 20 m around the green — useful for chips and pitches.
- Metres or yards? Change it in ⚙ Settings.
Courses
The library covers more than 25,000 courses worldwide. Open ☰ → Plan / Strategy to browse.
Find a course
- My courses — your saved courses and ones you've created.
- Community — courses other players have shared, closest to you first.
- 🗺 Map — every course on one map. Tap a cluster to zoom in; the list at the bottom follows the map.
- Use the search box to find a course by name. Open a course and tap ☆ Add to My courses to save it.
Add a course that's missing
Tap + New course and type its name.
Tap 📍 Set position on map, drag the pin to the course, and confirm with ✓.
If the app notices a course already exists nearby, it will suggest using that one instead.
Is a course listed twice, or in the wrong place? Open it → ✎ Edit details, or use 🔗 Merge to combine duplicates.
Planning your game
A plan is your playbook for a course: for each hole, the line you want to play, the dangers to avoid, and notes to yourself. You can keep several plans on the same course — say, one for calm days and one for wind.
On courses that come with hole maps, each hole opens zoomed in with the green at the top of the screen, and a suggested tee-to-green line already drawn — just drag it to match how you want to play.
Draw a hole
Open a course → ＋ Create your plan → give it a name → tap a hole number.
Pick a tool at the top: Route (your line, yellow dots), Red or OB (draw a danger line — it shows on every hole of the plan), or Width (measure a gap or landing zone).
Route: tap the map to add points; drag them to adjust. Red/OB: draw the line with one finger, like a pen. Width: drag the two end bars apart.
Write a note ("take the 3-wood — driver runs through the dogleg"), then tap Save. + Next hole moves you along; the ‹ › arrows step through every hole.
Your plans live in the plan list
On a course, "Plans on this course" shows your plans and any that other players have shared. You can copy someone's plan to make it your own with ⧉ Copy this plan.
Pars, stroke indexes & ratings
A par sheet lists each hole's par and stroke index, plus the course and slope ratings for that set of tees. Every course can have several — one per tee.
- Tap a sheet's name to see it before you use it.
- ＋ Enter par sheet adds one: fill in par and stroke index per hole. The app warns you if a number is used twice.
- Each sheet is marked Men's or Women's.
- The ⋮ menu on a sheet lets you make your own copy (for a different tee), suggest a correction, or flag it if it's wrong. Sheets that have been checked show a green verified mark.
Playing & scoring
☰ → ⛳ Play / Scorecard. You'll see your rounds — any still in progress at the top, finished ones below. Tap ＋ Start new round.
Set up the round
- Players: add yourself, friends who don't use the app (just a name), or invite players by their username. Each player can enter a handicap and picks which scores to track: gross, net, or both.
- Par sheet: pick the one matching the tees you're playing. Its pars drive everything.
- Track (optional): putts, penalty strokes and a note per hole.
While you play
- Each player has a score box for the current hole. Tap it → a big number pad opens. Tap the score and it saves; the hole's par is highlighted so you can find it fast. 🚩 Pick up if the hole is lost; ✕ Clear to undo.
- Tap a player's name to switch to them — then putts, penalties and the note are theirs.
- Tap 🎯 (bottom-left) to use the rangefinder without leaving the round; the ‹ › arrows move between holes.
- Tap the hole name at the top to see the full scorecard. Finish ends the round (you can reopen it later), and ✎ Players lets you adjust the group mid-round.
Reading the scorecard
- Familiar marks: a circle is a birdie or better, a square a bogey, a double square a double or worse.
- Little blue dots mark the holes where a player gets a stroke for net play.
- If someone picked up, their gross and net totals show a dash — but the adjusted total still counts.
Sharing & community
Share what you've made
- A course: open it → 🌐 Share. Others can see the course; your plans stay yours.
- A plan: in the plan list, tap the 🌐/🔒 symbol on a plan to share just that plan.
- A round: invite players when you start the card — everyone scores on their own phone and it stays in sync.
Borrow what others made
- Browse the Community tab for shared courses, and shared plans on any course. Copy anything — the copy is yours to change privately.
- See a wrong par or a tee in the wrong place? Use the ⋮ menu to suggest a correction or flag it. Someone will review it.
Account & settings
👤 Account
- Create an account with an email, a username and a password. The username is what other players see — never your email.
- Display name (optional): the friendly name shown on scorecards. Leave it empty to just use your username.
- Forgot your password? Your scorecards are protected by it. When you signed up you were shown a recovery code — that code is the only way back in, so keep it somewhere safe.
⚙ Settings (per device)
- Metres or yards.
- Your handicap — filled in automatically when you start a round.
- Keep the screen awake while you play.
- Par sheets to show — hide Men's or Women's sheets in the list.
